Red-rumped wheatear – Oenanthe moesta – is a small resident Afro/Asian passerine of Type – sallyer, Family Muscicapidae and Order Passeriformes. It is resident along the N African coastal areas from NW Mauritania to Sinai, from where it continues into central Iraq and includes small areas of S Levant and NW KSA. There is a separate wintering area in E KSA near to the Arabian Gulf.
