Rough-legged Buzzard (Buteo lagopus), is a medium-large raptor of the Family Accipitridae, it is strongly migratory and is widespread across the Holarctic region. It breeds in Arctic and subArctic regions and migrates S to more Temperate but by no means warm regions across Eurasia in winter. The nearest it regularly comes to the AWB Region is the N Caucasus and European Turkey.
