Ruddy-breasted crake – Zapornia fusca – is a mid-sized migratory/resident Asian shorebird of Type – marshfowl, Family Rallidae and Order Gruiformes. It is found across S, SE and E Asia from Pakistan to Japan, it is mostly resident over its range, but is a summer breeder in the NE and patchilly winter visitor in the S of its range. The AWB Region lies outside of its normal range but it is recorded as Accidental in Oman.
