Senegal lapwing – Vanellus lugubris – is a small resident African lapwing of Type – wader, Family Charadriidae and Order Charadriiformes. It has a limited distribution in s s Africa, where it is found on lowland open dry savannas and grassy plains. In the AWB Region it is found as resident in S Mali and S Somalia, and is recorded a Accidental in Comoros.
