Senegal thick-knee – Burhinus senegalensis – is a medium large resident African shorebird, also known as Stone-curlews, or Dikkops, and is of Type – wader, Family Burhinidae and Order Charadriiformes. It is resident in s s Africa and the Nile Valley. In the AWB Region it is found as resident in Mauritania, Mali, Niger, Chad, Sudan, Egypt, and to a lesser extent parts of Eritrea and Djibouti.
