The Slender-billed curlew – Numenius tenuirostris is a small curlew of Type – wader, Family Scolopacidae and Order Charadriiformes. It is Critically Endangered and formerly bred on the Steppes of Kazakhstan, but little is known about them now, but they have been recorded as Accidental in a few states within the AWB Region, (the N Maghreb states and the head of the Arabian Gulf).
