Spectacled warbler – Curruca conspicillata – is a very small migratory/resident Euro/Asian/African passerine of Type – insectivore, Family Sylviidae and Order Passeriformes. It is a summer breeder to SW Europe and the Middle East, resident in NW Africa and the Levant, and a winter visitor over large areas of the Sahara Desert. In the AWB Region it is resident over the N Maghreb states, extending into Western Sahara and NW Libya, Cyprus and the S Levant. It has desert wintering areas in the S Levant, Sinai, Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, W Sahara, Mauritania, Mali and Niger. It has separate small summer breeding areas in the Levant, Jordan and Syria.
