The Sykes’s nightjar (Caprimulgus mahrattensis ) is a small species of the family Caprimulgidae found in a small range in the NW of the Indian sub-continent. The resident range extends into SE Iran in the AWB Region. There is a winter dispersal into central India but a few birds go westwards and it is an Accidental in the UAE.
