Thrush nightingale – Luscinia luscinia – is a migratory Eurasian nightingale of Type – sallyer, Family Muscicapidae and Order Passeriformes. It is a summer breeder from N Europe to E Siberia, and in winter migrates to SE Africa. The E, AWB Region lies within its zone of Passage, but outside of its summer breeding range or its wintering range, and so is found in many country lists in that Eastern Area.
