Turkestan short-toed lark – Alaudala heinei – has been named and elevated to a species, from a sub-species of the Lesser short-toed lark in September 2021, and the xeno-canto website has yet to reflect this change. At moment the the range map still represents the Turkestan short-toed lark as the summer and winter ranges of the Lesser short-toed lark. The Turkestan short-toed lark is of Type – Alaudine, Family Alaudidae, and Order Passeriformes. In the AWB Region it is winter visitor to S states of the Arabian Gulf, S Iraq and N and NE KSA.
