Violet-backed starling – Cinnyricinclus leucogaster – is a smallish African starling of Type – arboreal-forager, Family Sturnidae and Order Passeriformes. It is widely found in s s Africa except for Arid areas and dense forests. In the AWB Region it is resident in most of the Sahel states. E Sudan, Eritrea and Djibouti.
