The Western barn-owl – Tyto alba – is a medium sized owl of Type – nocturnal-raptor, barn-owl Family Tytonidae and the Order Strigiformes. It is a sedentary species across Europe, The Middle East, and Africa. In the AWB Region it has a dispersed distribution across most countries in the region, and there is commonly a more general dispersion of young birds outside of the breeding season.
