The White-throated bee-eater – Merops albicollis is of Type-sallyer species of the Bee-eater Family Meropidae and the Order Coraciiformes. It winters in the Tropical rain-forests of northern Africa and migrates north to breed across the semi-arid Sahel habitat that forms the southern boundary of the Sahara Desert, from SW Mauritania to the SE Coast of Sudan and N Eritrea, the range continues on the opposite side of the Red Sea in the SW Corner of the Arabian Peninsular.
