Yellow bittern – Ixobrychus sinensis – is a small migratory/resident Asian bittern of Type- wadingbird, Family Ardeidae and Order Passeriformes. It is found in S, SE and E Asia. In the AWB Region there is an outlying area in the Dhofar region of Oman where it is a summer breeder.
