Zitting cisticola – Cisticola juncidis – is a small resident Afro/Eurasian passerine of Type – insectivore, Family Cisticolidae and Order Passeriformes. It is widely distributed over the three continents, in the Far East it has a population that becomes a summer migrant. In the AWB Region it has a widely distributed patchwork of small areas where it is resident in most countries except for the southern Arabian Gulf states, Oman, Comoros, Socotra, Somalia and Western Sahara.
