African pygmy-goose – Nettapus auritus – is a small resident African perching duck of Type – waterbird, Family Anatidae and Order Anseriformes. It is the smallest of African waterfowl and is widely found over s s Africa. In the AWB Region it is also widely resident across the Sahel Belt and more in Mauritania, Mali, Niger, Chad, Sudan, Eritrea, Djibouti, and Somalia.
