Magnificent frigatebird – Fregata magnificens – is the largest frigatebird, they typically breed in American waters but there is a small isolated breeding population around the Cape Verde Islands. In the AWB Region it is recorded as Accidental in Mauritanian waters, presumably from this population. They are of Type – seabird, Family Fregatidae and Order Suliformes.
