Nectariniidae – Sunbirds+ or Sunbirds and Spiderhunters is Family of very small passerines, that typically feed mostly on nectar but also eat insects when breeding. They are of Type – nectivore and Order Passeriformes. Many can hover like hummingbirds, to feed, but they also perch as well. They tend to favour rainforest habitats of s s Africa and SE Asia and are therefore more limited in their distribution in the AWB Region.
