Shining sunbird – Cinnyris habessinicus – is a small resident African/Arabian passerine of Type – Nectivore, Family Nectariniidae and Order Passeriformes. It is resident in NE Africa and SW Arabia. In the AWB Region it is resident in SE Egypt, coastal Sudan, Eritrea, Djibouti and Somalia. In SW Arabia it is resident along the coastal areas from Jeddah to Dhofar.
