Brown fish-owl – Ketupa zeylonensis – is a large resident Asian typical owl, of Type – nocturnal-raptor, Family Strigidae and Order Strigiformes. The main centre of population is in S and SE Asia, but there are a few small isolated pockets in the AWB Region, namely in Turkey, Iran, Iraq, Syria and Jordan.
