Caspian snowcock – Tetraogallus caspius – is a large resident mountainous Asian gamebird of Type – Landfowl, Family Phasianidae and Order Galliformes. It is found in the mountains of SW Asia on the bare stony ground above the treeline. In the AWB Region it is found as resident in S & E Turkey, S Caucasus, Iran and N Iraq.
