Chestnut-tailed starling – Sturnia malabarica – is a medium sized migratory/resident Asian passerine of Type – arboreal-forager, Family Sturnidae and Order Passeriformes. It is found in S and SE Asia, it is a summer breeder in Pakistan and N India but further E it is more resident, and winters in peninsular India and SE Asia. The AWB Region lies outside of its normal range but it is recorded as Accidental in Oman.
