Desert sparrow – Passer simplex – is small resident African passerine of Type – granivore, Family Passeridae and Order Passeriformes. It is found in dispersed resident small areas, across even the driest parts of the great extent of the Sahara Desert of N Africa. In the AWB Region it is found as resident in small areas over nearly all the N African states, except for Eritrea, Djibouti and Somalia.
