Eastern rock-nuthatch – Sitta tephronota – or Persian rock-nuthatch – is a large resident Asian rock-nuthatch, of Type – ground-forager, Family Sittidae and Order Passeriformes. It is found in SW and S central Asia. In the AWB Region it is resident in Turkey, Iran and to a limited extent in S Caucasus and Iraq.
