White-winged snowfinch – Montifringilla nivalis – is a small resident Eurasian passerine of Type – granivore, Family Passeridae and Order Passeriformes. It is distributed in suitable bare mountainous habitat from southern Europe to W China. In the AWB Region it is found as resident in Turkey, S Caucasus and Iran, and is found as Accidental in Iraq. In Turkey in the winter there are some small foraging movements.
