Hypocoliidae – Hypocolius+ is an unusual family in that there is only one species, the Hypocolius, in it at the moment. It is in the Order Passeriformes and is of Type – frugivore. Although it is migratory, it has a small, limited summer breeding range in SW Asia from E Iraq, S Iran to SW Afghanistan, and just touching small areas of Kuwait and Pakistan. It winters along the Mekran coast to Gujarat and in central Arabia. It is a smallish passerine that flies in flocks while foraging on fruits, and is found in dry semi-desert areas of the Middle East.
