Red-necked grebe – Podiceps grisegena – is a medium sized migratory Holarctic grebe of Type – waterbird, Family Podicipedidae and Order Podicipediformes. It is widely found across the Holarctic Region. In the AWB Region it is a summer breeder to the South Caucasus states and thinly distributed over Turkey. In the winter it is found in the S coastal areas of the Caspian Sea in N Iran.
