River warbler – Locustella fluviatilis – is a mid-sized migratory Eurasian warbler of Type – insectivore, Family Locustellidae, and Order Passeriformes. It is found as a summer breeder from E Europe to Kazakhstan, and winters in SE Africa. The AWB Region lies to the south of its normal breeding range but several small isolated wintering areas are found in coastal areas of N Egypt, SE Sudan and S Somalia.
