Sedge warbler – Acrocephalus schoenobaenus – is a mid-sized migratory Eurasian warbler of Type – insectivore, Family Acrocephalidae and Order Passeriformes. It is a summer breeder to Eurasia and migrates in the winter to s s Africa. In the AWB Region it is a summer breeder to Turkey and the South Caucasus. In the winter it is present across the Sahel Belt. As noted above it has a very wide breeding range from the Mediterranean up to the Arctic,

Summer Habitat - typically reedbeds but can extend into vegetated margins and arable fields,
Winter Habitat - wetlands with reeds, papyrus, sedges and also with long grass nearby,
