Viduidae – Indigobirds+ or Indigobirds & Whydahs is a Family of brood parasites that prey on the nests of the Estrildidae – Waxbills+ Family. They are of Type – granivore and Order Passeriformes. The Whydah males have very long tails in the breeding season, but all Viduidae, typically have dark plumage, and are finch like in their behaviour. They are widespread over s s Africa.
