Barred warbler – Curruca nisoria – is a larger Eurasian migratory warbler of Type – insectivore, Family Sylviidae and Order Passeriformes. It has an extensive summer breeding range from Central Europe to W Mongolia, and migrates in winter to E Africa. In the AWB Region it is a summer breeder to Turkey, S Caucasus and NE Iran. It is recorded on Passage in Egypt, Sudan, Eritrea and Djibouti but its wintering range lies further to the south in E Africa.
