Basra reed-warbler – Acrocephalus griseldis – is a mid-sized migratory warbler of Type – insectivore, Family Acrocephalidae and Order Passeriformes. It is a summer breeder to the lower Tigris/Euphrates valleys and winters in Somalia and E Africa. It is also found on passage in coastal areas of Sudan. Due to past wanton destruction of its habitat it is now an endangered species.

Summer Habitat - breeds in large papyrus and reed beds,
Winter Habitat - expands its choices to include bushland and copses,
