Brahminy starling – Sturnia pagodarum – is a resident Asian starling of Type – arboreal-forager, Family Sturnidae and Order Passeriformes. It is native to the Indian sub-continent but has been introduced to warmer countries elsewhere. In the AWB Region it has been introduced to the coastal areas of UAE and Oman.

Type - arboreal-forager - nests in holes in trees or buildings, roosts communally, 
Typical - Habitat - open scrub areas with scattered trees, often near marshy areas or human habitation,
