Bruce’s green-pigeon – Treron waalia – is a mid-sized resident/migratory Afro/Arabian pigeon of Type – landfowl. Family Columbidae and Order Columbiformes. It is resident coast to coast in the s s African Sahel Belt and a summer breeder to SW Arabia, and much favours fruiting fig trees, for its favourite food. In the AWB Region, as noted above it is found as resident in all the Sahel states plus Eritrea, Djibouti and Somalia. In Arabia it is a summer breeder to SW KSA, Yemen and Dhofar.
