Tambourine dove – Turtur tympanistria – is a small resident African dove, of Type – landfowl, Family Columbidae and Order Columbiformes. It is fairly widespread over s s Africa. In the AWB Region it is resident in small numbers in S Somalia and Comoros, and is recorded as Accidental in Oman.
