Common Grasshopper-warbler – Locustella naevia – is a small migratory Eurasian warbler of Type – insectivore, Family Locustellidae and Order Passeriformes. It is a summer breeder to a very extensive range from the British Isles to Mongolia. There are three populations overall, the E Asian birds migrate to peninsular India, the Central Asian birds migrate through the Levant area to winter in Ethiopia, and the W European birds migrate to W Africa. In the AWB Region it is a summer breeder to the S Caucasus and E Turkey, and its wintering grounds are found in SW Mauritania and Mali.

Typical Habitat - damp or dry rough grass areas with undergrowth, and bushes, typically around the margins of woodland and clearings,
