Corn crake

The Corn crake (Crex crex) is a medium sized species of crake of the ground/wetland bird family Rallidae. It has a very extensive Breeding Range from W Europe to E Asia, and migrates to winter in southern Africa. In the AWB Region it is a summer breeder in the S Caucasus, elsewhere it is occasionally encountered on passage.
