Ferruginous duck

The Ferruginous duck (Aythya nyroca) is a medium sized diving duck of the Palearctic region. The AWB Region is South of its main breeding range but does have a few small breeding areas in Western Turkey, Palestine, Iran and Algeria. It also has a few small areas where birds are resident in Morocco, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Syria and Iraq and Azerbaijan. However, Additionally apart from the vastness of the Sahara the AWB Region is predominantly a wintering area for the species including the full Sahel Region,
