The Great spotted cuckoo Clamator glandarius is a large species of the family Cuculidae, is of Type – cuckoidal and the Order Cuculiformes. It is a summer breeder across S Europe into Turkey, N Iraq, Cyprus, Palestine, and the Nile Delta. It has wintering grounds in Morocco, S Algeria and the Nile Valley. It is resident across the Sahel from the Atlantic to Eritrea and The Gulf of Aden, on the Red Sea.
