The Lesser black-backed gull – Larus fuscus is a large migratory Eurasian gull of Type – seabird, Family Laridae and Order Charadriiformes. It is a summer breeder to NW Eurasia and migrates S in winter to the coasts of the E Atlantic, Mediterranean, the Middle East and Africa. Further in Africa there are inland wetlands, to which it is a a visitor.
