The Lesser white-fronted goose (Anser erythropus) is a smaller version of the Greater white-fronted goose and breeds right across the northern edge of the Palearctic region from northern Norway to the Far East. It is strongly migratory, in the winter flying south to Japan, South Korea and China, in the Far East and in the AWB Region to the southern end of the Caspian Sea and into Iran and Iraq. Also to various areas in SE Europe and to coastal sites around the North Sea.
