The Pallid scops-owl – Otus brucei is a small species of Type – nocturnal-raptor species of the typical-owl Family Strigidae and the Order Strigiformes. It is found from the Levant to S Kazakhstan and NW India. In the AWB Region it is a summer breeder to NE Iran, S Central Turkey and N Syria. The main wintering area is in Pakistan and NW India, but there are a few areas where there are small resident populations in the S Levant, SE Iraq, SW and S Iran and the Hajar mountains of Oman and UAE.

Summer Habitat - semi-open country with trees and bushes,
Winter Habitat - coastal regions, 
Resident Habitat - also mountainous areas with deep wadis,
