Ruddy turnstone

The Ruddy turnstone – Arenaria interpres is a small wader of the family Scolopacidae. It is a Holarctic summer breeder which migrates S to the Tropics and Oceania. In the AWB Region it is present on Passage along the coasts of the Caspian Sea, Black Sea and the E Mediterranean Sea. It winters along the shores of all the N African AWB countries, Arabia and S Iran.
