Sardinian warbler – Curruca melanocephala – is a small ,migratory/resident Afro/European passerine of Type – insectivore, Family Sylviidae and Order Passeriformes. It is found around the perimeter of the Mediterranean Basin and winters across the Sahara Desert. In the AWB Region it is a summer breeder to N and W Turkey and the Levant. Coastal areas of the Mediterranean are a mixture of resident and wintering areas but the main wintering areas lie inland across the Sahara except for Mali and Chad.
