Siberian crane – Leucogeranus leucogeranus – is a large migratory Asian crane of Type – wadingbird, Family Gruidae and Order Gruiformes. It has two populations, one that summers in E Siberia and winters in China, and the other that summers in W Siberia and winters in Iran. In the AWB Region it is found on passage in Azerbaijan and winters at the S End of the Caspian Sea in Iran and is recorded as Accidental in Turkey, but is recorded on the RED LIST as Critically Endangered.
