White-capped bunting – Emberiza stewarti – is a small migratory Asian passerine of Type – granivore, Family Emberizidae and Order Passeriformes. It has a very limited range on the western edge of the Tibetan Plateau and into NW India. There is a pronounced altitudinal shift downwards in winter but also a noticeable migration onto the plains of N Pakistan and NW India. The AWB Region lies outside of its normal range but it is recorded as Accidental in UAE.
