The White-rumped swift – Apus caffer is a small swift of Type – aerial, Family Apodidae and Order Caprimulgiformes. It is a bird of s s Africa. In the AWB Region there is a small migratory breeding population in Central Morocco but its wintering area is not known. The northerly limit of the resident area is the wetter end of the Sahel corridor, S Mali, S Niger, S Chad, S Sudan, Eritrea, Djibouti, Somaliland, and S Somalia.

Summer Habitat - generally dictated by the availability of aerial insects, bridges over water, urban buildings.
Resident Habitat - savannah grasslands with trees,
