Cory’s shearwater

The Cory’s shearwater – Calonectris borealis is a large marine species of Type – seabird, of the family Procellariidae and the Order Procellariiformes. It breeds on the Atlantic Islands off the NW Coast of Africa. After breeding it disperses widely over the Temperate and Tropical N and S Atlantic Oceans, and around S Africa into the SW Indian Ocean up tp Madagascar. There is also a small penetration into the W Mediterranean. In the AWB Region in addition to the areas covered above, it is recorded as Accidental into the Gulf of Oman.

Winter Habitat - pelagic warmer Atlantic waters,
