Great crested tern

The Great crested tern – Thalasseus bergii or Greater crested tern, is a large tropical tern of Type – seabird of the family Laridae and the Order Charadriiformes. It is widely distributed in the tropical areas of the Indo-Pacific Oceans. In the AWB Region, outside of the Mediterranean Sea, it is resident in all the offshore waters around the Arabian Peninsular, in the NE extending along the Mekran Coast to Pakistan and in Africa extending all along the eastern seaboard around to Namibia including the coasts of Madagascar and many Indian Ocean islands, except notably the Comoros where it is only accidental.

Type - seabird - ground nester on low lying Tropical islands, with little vegetation, 
Summer Habitat - resident in all Arabian waters and the inshore Eastern coast of Africa, 
Winter Habitat - typically roosts on open shores, close inshore waters,
