Great crested tern

The Great crested tern – Thalasseus bergii is a large tropical seabird of the family Laridae. It is widely distributed in the tropical areas of the Indo-Pacific Oceans. In the AWB Region, outside of the Mediterranean Sea, it is resident in all the offshore waters around the Arabian Peninsular, in the NE extending along the Mekran Coast to Pakistan and in Africa extending all along the eastern seaboard around to Namibia including the coasts of Madagascar and many Indian Ocean islands, except notably the Comoros where it is only accidental.
