Lammergeier (Gypaetus barbatus), also called the Bearded Vulture, is a large raptor of the Family Accipitridae. It is a widely dispersed resident of high mountains across Southern Europe, the Caucasus, Turkey, Africa, SW and Central Asia and Tibet. It is also the only species of the genus Gypaetus.
